Like many, I graduated college and started working for a big company, placing all my time and effort into growing there. And I learned a lot! While rising through the ranks of two global corporations, I became quite adept at business strategy, project management, people leadership, managing change and growth, and helping my peers and reports reach their business and career goals.
But working for these companies lost its shine after a while; my results and relationships didn’t seem to matter as much as being the person who worked the longer hours or talked louder in the room. I wasn’t spending as much time with my family as I would like, and often during those times I was stressed! Luckily (didn’t feel that way at the time!), I was eventually downsized with many of my co-workers.
After a little time, I determined that what I’d been doing didn’t have to be what I continued to do. One part of my previous roles that I really enjoyed was helping others vent, explore goals and dreams, and plan the steps to get there. Becoming a career coach enables me to do just that, and my corporate business experience gives me wonderful perspective into understanding my clients.
I’m here to listen to you and help you explore possibilities for your future in a pressure-free space.
I have a husband and three boys, so my time is most often spent with them on our small farm or at the hockey rink. I play (beginner!) hockey as well, and other sports when I can. I keep bees and raise pumpkins and chickens on our farm. I love to travel when I can!
